Raul Loya has successfully litigated numerous civil rights cases, including a $4 million judgment, one of the highest verdicts for racial discrimination of an individual in the State of Texas. Mr. Loya’s areas of expertise also focus on the representation of employers and individuals in all aspects of labor and employment law. Mr. Loya has litigated dozens of employment cases. The lawsuits have included claims of age, disability and race discrimination, as well as sexual harassment and retaliation. He has also defended employers against claims of due process, excessive force, equal protection, false arrest, whistle-blower suits and First Amendment violations. Mr. Loya is a member of the American Bar Association, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, American Association for Justice, Tarrant County Bar Association and the Dallas Bar Association. Mr. Loya has handled numerous court cases and other civil and criminal trial law matters and has participated as lead counsel in jury and non- jury trials in the state and federal courts in the State of Texas. Mr. Loya has taken on cases Pro Bono to help those of limited means, such as the Elian Majano case. Elian was kidnapped, in June from a Dallas area park in broad daylight. Mr. Loya is heading up the legal team in the search for Elian Majano. The law firm is employing investigators, retired law enforcement officers and forensic scientists as they continue to search for three year old Elian. Mr. Loya is passionate and dedicated to protecting the Constitutional rights of individuals and protect those who have been disenfranchised.
